FGCB and DC.
FGCB may be repeated as often as once every ten minutes, just for a few seconds.
DC may be repeated as often as once every hour, just for a few minutes.
In fact, in my opinion these activities although they involve some physical doing, are actually meditation. Sitting quietly in a specific posture with eyes closed for a sustained duration of time is only one way of practicing meditation. We can be engaged in a mundane activity such as washing dishes or walking in a garden and still be in meditation.
Activities such as yoga and pranayama can be meditation – as they are supposed to be – or can be simply acts of doing without being. To understand all these, it would help to find out what it means to be in a state of higher vibrations. One cannot get higher vibrations but one can be in a state of higher vibrations.
Higher vibrations actually means a lower frequency of energy vibrations. In our normal awake conscious state, our energies are vibrating at a frequency of 12 to 30 Hertz and this is called Beta state. This is the doing state of mental activity. When it increases beyond 30 Hz or even above 20–25 Hz, we start going into a state of hyperactivity such as in panic attacks or certain intense mental activity. This is the Gamma state. When we allow ourselves to disengage from the world around us and relax our mind, the mental activity slows down into an Alpha state which is vibrating at a frequency of 8 to 12 Hz.
In the Alpha state, we experience peace, stillness, calmness, quietness even when the world around us is still in chaos. This is called returning back to our grounding or earth energy connection. The above two activities help with this and is the first stage for any effective meditative practice. To go deeper and experience even higher vibrations such as Theta and Delta states of being is possible only with a sustained daily practice of quiet sitting meditation.
It is more useful to cultivate a habit with short repeated practices such as FGCB and DC throughout the day and remain or return back to alpha state throughout the day rather than practicing deeper meditation only once or twice every day. FGCB and DC practices are demonstrated in the article linked below.

Can someone who has never been able to meditate learn to practice meditation and benefit out of it?
Yes anyone can practice meditation. It is quiet simple actually. You only need to learn when you have to ‘do’ something. Meditation is a practice of ‘non-doing being’. You need to choose not to do anything and this entails a process of unlearning rather than learning. When I say activity, I am referring to mental activity not physical activity. Just do the following for one to three minutes and see what happens. Your first tool for an effective meditation practice – Focused Breathing and Conscious Breathing – FGCB This is FGCB or Fixed Gazing and Conscious Breathing. Simply take a few minutes to be with this practice several times during the day for a few days. It would be even more helpful if you can practice three minutes of gentle body movements called Deep crossing after the FGCB and continue with the FGCB while doing this. It is demonstrated in YouTube video linked below. Selvans Deep crossing: https://youtu.be/qq6iKZquuVI After several days of the above practice, listen to the following guided meditation audio and sit with a short practice of 5 minutes open eyes meditation. Sit for the meditation after doing deep crossing.
