What time do you go to bed and get up in the morning?

I retire to the bedroom at around 9.30 pm and sit with just the dim bedroom light to do the Energy movements which is followed by meditation. These activities take about 45 minutes to one hour and after that I sleep. I wake up at 6 am, drink half a liter of water and begin the day with energy movements and meditation, these along with toilet time takes about one hour after which I brew coffee and sit to drink it after eating the overnight soaked almonds and raisins. This is not a rigid fixed time and there could be some variations on some days but not beyond one hour. On days I go to sleep at 10.30 instead of 9.30, I would wake up at 7 am instead of 6 am so that the total time for sleep is not reduced. A wholesome sleep consists of at least five sleep cycles and each cycle takes around 75 to 90 minutes. Therefore you need at least over seven hours sleep time. You also need one hour preparatory time with lights off and all digital devices (TV, Phone, Laptop, etc) to allow you to reconnect with your body and release the day’s energies to enjoy a healthy sleep. It is not about what I love to do the first thing in the morning. To begin thinking what I would love to do today morning, after waking up will make that itself into the first activity of the day. The thinking about what to do next! We are always living in our mind thinking about what to do next. Instead, when we cultivate a habit with a certain set of practices and it becomes a deeply ingrained habit we naturally begin our day with it. This helps bring our mind into the right space to be able to think and do the right thing next.
